ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT
Beautiful ecological environment is an attractive card for Zengcheng. It is home to 22 forest parks and natural reserves, including Baishuizhai village, Dafeng Gate, Jiao Shi Hill, Nanxiang Mountain, Jiufeng Mountain, Hezhizhou, etc. It enjoys a forest coverage rate of 52.52%, with 3km2 of Gualv Lake, 533 km of city greenway, 257 km of ecological landscape forest belt. Through the implementation of the "Thousand Gardens Plan", 1102 parks and gardens have been built, achieving urban green coverage of 43.77%, per capita public green area of 22.50 square meters. Its annual good air rate exceeds 90%. Drinking water source and urban water functional area have met the standards of 100%. Zengcheng is known as Guangzhou's "Green Lung", and the "Emerald Oasis" in the Pearl River Delta.
